Description

Definition:

The indicator aims to assess the coverage of early warning systems (EWS). An EWS is an integrated system  of hazard monitoring, forecasting and prediction,  disaster risk assessment, communication and  preparedness activities systems and processes that enables.

Comments:

Cross-check definition and assessment methodologies with projects (FAO, GLOF)
Information system in place: farmers receive a bi-monthly bulletin with information/alert on next events (number of farmers receiving the bulletin: data availale)
