Definition: See NDMA definitions
UNISDR: Direct agriculture loss in monetary units. Agriculture is understood to include the crops, livestock, fisheries, apiculture, aquaculture and forest sectors as well as associated facilities and infrastructure.
Methodology:
Using / strengthening NDMA annual data:
Average change over a 10-year period of annual disasters induced loss (and livestock):
. Annual total livestock perished (by province); Annual agricultural production loss (by provinces); converted to USD
. Calculate the average annual loss (USD / reference values)
. Calculate the average loss on a 10-year period (mid-term eval: 2015-2025; end-term eval: 2020-2030)
. Calculate the change (%) when comparing to the reference values
. Calculate the average change (%)

Assumptions: annual loss equivalent to current average loss (2010-2020); expected loss induced by expected increase in drought and flood disasters
PDNA cost assessment (damages+loss) on agriculture, food, livestock, and fisheries at PKR 800 billion
(US$3.7 billion) - national scale / check figures at Punjab level
Moreover, hazard mapping across 5 districts and 24 villages in KP identified flooding and drought incidents as occurring every second year with moderate severity (10-30% losses)(FAO & The Alliance of Bioversity International & CIAT, 2020).( Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Plan
